My Mission Is To MENTOR:
Seth DiDomizio
Growing up with my brother Seth, who has special needs, taught me the importance of helping everyone find their place in the world. School and social life were often challenging for him—he struggled to fit into spaces that weren’t built for his needs. Advocating for Seth meant helping others see his potential and ensuring he had opportunities to grow.
Through patience and love, I’ve watched him thrive in his own way, discovering his path and purpose. His journey reminds me that everyone has a "room" where they belong, and sometimes it’s up to us to open the door or create the space for them to shine.
Yohan
I’ve had the joy of working with Yohan, a vibrant 30-year-old with boundless energy and a love for life. Together, we found ways to keep his active mind and body engaged—whether it was taking long walks, spending hours on the swings, or indulging in his favorite treat: chocolate-covered Oreos from Mudson’s Chocolates. Supporting Yohan has been a reminder of the power of simple joys and the importance of meeting people where they are, creating moments of connection and happiness tailored to their unique spirit.
Owen
Owen had a deep love for media—its accessibility, its ability to build community, and the way it could bring personality and story to life. I had the privilege of helping him create his Instagram page and start editing some of his projects. To Owen, being "disabled" was his superpower. He embraced who he was, inside and out, with pride and confidence. I'm truly grateful for the perspective he shared with me—and for his unwavering role as my spell checker.
Sami
Sami is a creative writing student with a sharp sense of humor and a dream of writing for SNL. Part of my role was to help him tap into his inner artist—getting him comfortable not just in his writing, but in the world around him. Encouraging his voice, refining his comedic instincts, and building his confidence were all key to helping him move toward his goal.
STYLE:
My teaching style emphasizes storytelling, collaboration, and inclusivity. I draw from my rich background on film and photography sets to make lessons both engaging and practical, blending technical expertise with creative exploration.
I take a hands-on approach, empowering students to explore their own ideas while mastering foundational and advanced skills. In my classes, I create a supportive environment that fosters experimentation, encouraging students to take creative risks and discover their unique voice.
With a focus on real-world applications, I share insights from my professional journey to inspire students and showcase the possibilities of their craft. I also emphasize the importance of building connections and positioning themselves for success in the industry, providing both technical skills and the tools needed to navigate the creative world confidently.
